Post Secondary Education Bursaries

If a member employed by the City of Edmonton has a dependent child enrolled in an approved post-secondary institution, he or she may be eligible for the Edmonton Civic Employees Charitable Assistance Fund bursary.  For further information please see the ECECAF Scholarships web page or contact the ECECAF directly at 780-640-9558 or ececaf@gmail.com. Please ensure applications are mailed directly to the ECECAF at the address provided on the form.

Driver Education Subsidy Program

Effective March 1, 2016, ECECAF members’ dependents under 25 years of age, receive a Driver Ed Subsidy towards an AMA New Driver Program upon completion of the course.

Health Care Spending Account Forms

Employee and Family Assistance Services

Homewood Health provides employee and family assistance services for the City of Edmonton union of CUPE Local 30. Their offices are located on the 5th floor of Beaver House located at 10158 – 103 Street. Please call 1-800-663-1142 for information or an appointment.

Shepell-fgi provides employee and family assistance services for our EPCOR members. Please call 1-888-359-5355 for information or an appointment.

Family and Spiritual Concerns

CUPE Local 30 members may reach the City Chaplain, John Dowds, by phone at 780-496-7863, by pager at 780-401-4250, by fax at 780-496-8210 or by email at john.dowds@edmonton.ca.

Members or their families who require immediate assistance with, but not restricted to, stress, substance abuse, alcohol intervention, suicide, finances, sexual assault, family counseling, family violence, bullying or social services referral may call “211” in the Edmonton area for assistance. If calling from outside Edmonton, dial 780-482-4636 to reach help.
